XAUUSD BUY Signal — $4394 Setup for 17 Aug 2026
Gold jumps to $4394.23 today. We are waiting for a smart pullback to support before buying. Here is our daily trade plan.
What a big move we saw on Monday! Gold is hovering at $4394.23 right now, up a massive $70.90 today. If you are tracking the local jewellery rates in Dubai or Karachi, you know how fast things are moving. I am seeing a classic pullback setup forming that might give us a clean entry.
How Yesterday's Signal Went
Let's look at what happened yesterday. We set up a buy order at $4380.00, hoping to catch a quick dip. However, the market had other ideas. The price shot straight up from $4422.30 to a high of $4473.20.
Because gold never dropped to our entry price of $4380.00, our order was never triggered. It is always a bit annoying to watch a big rally happen without us, but keeping your capital safe is the golden rule. We did not lose a single dollar, and that is a win in my book. The signal simply did not trigger.
Today's Trade Setup
Here is what I am looking at for today:
Why This Setup
Gold is incredibly strong right now. However, buying right at the top is a risky trap. Instead, we want to wait for a dip back to support. Support is a price level where gold usually stops falling, like a concrete floor holding you up.
I am eye-ing the support zone between $4,347.00 and $4,336.00. This area has historically acted as a floor. If price bounces off this floor, it gives us a high-probability trade with a very tight risk.
If we get that bounce, our first target is $4,393.00. A break above that could easily push us back toward $4,449.00.
What Could Go Wrong
Every trade has risk. If gold breaks below our support floor and goes under $4,319.00, this trade is dead. A break below that level means the bears, who are traders pushing the price down, have taken control.
If that happens, do not fight the market. Let the stop loss do its job.
Bottom Line
Be patient today. Do not chase the current high price of $4394.23. Set your buy limit order at $4347.00 and let the market come to you.
